About The Studio

A boutique spatial design practice exploring the relationship between nature, wellbeing, and human experience within built environments.

OUR STUDIO

The Intuitive Spaces

The Intuitive Spaces is a spatial design practice based in Jávea, Costa Blanca, Spain, founded in 2017 by Hungarian architect Andrea Kriskó in Budapest. The studio operates at the intersection of architecture, interior space, and atmosphere, creating interior and exterior environments shaped by light, materiality, and spatial intuition.

We design residential, hospitality, and nature-based environments grounded in clarity, restraint, and emotional sensitivity. Our work is guided by biophilic and regenerative principles, focusing on the relationship between people, nature, and the built environment.

THE FOUNDER

About Andrea

I am Andrea Kriskó, an architect and spatial designer working across residential, hospitality, and nature-based environments.

My connection to architecture began early, shaped by a curiosity for geometry, form, and spatial flow, later formalised through architectural studies and culminating in an awarded diploma project in 2012. Over time, this evolved into a practice grounded in both structured training and an intuitive sensitivity to how space is experienced beyond the visual — through atmosphere, rhythm, and perception.

With an international background and experience across diverse design contexts, my work reflects an authentic perspective grounded in harmony, wellbeing, and a deep connection to place. I have worked with investors and private clients on international projects, gradually shifting my focus toward interior and spatial design, where materiality, light, and human experience become central. In 2024, I relocated to Spain to continue my practice in closer dialogue with landscape, within a biophilic and regenerative framework.

My work operates at the intersection of structure and intuition, combining spatial clarity with emotional and sensory awareness. It is guided by a belief that space influences not only how we live, but how we feel and move through the world.

STUDIO BELIEF

Design Philosophy

We believe design should return to its essential purpose: to support how we live, feel, and experience space on a deeply human level. Spaces should not overwhelm, but restore — offering clarity, presence, and emotional balance through a conscious spatial experience.

Our work is guided by the relationship between space, material, and human experience. Natural light, proportion, and spatial rhythm are treated as fundamental design tools, shaping perception, wellbeing, and emotional clarity. Design is approached as a multisensory experience — not only how a space looks, but how it is felt and lived over time.

At its core, our philosophy is grounded in biophilic and regenerative thinking, where nature is not a reference, but a structural logic for how space is conceived and experienced.

WORK METHOD

Design Approach

Each project begins with careful observation and spatial analysis, focusing on flow, proportion, light, materiality, and sensory response. Rather than applying a fixed aesthetic, we respond to each environment individually, allowing context to define direction and coherence.

Our process integrates architectural precision with intuitive spatial awareness. Material choices, light conditions, and spatial sequencing are considered from the earliest stages, ensuring clarity and continuity throughout the design.

Collaboration forms an essential part of the process. We work with a curated network of specialists when needed, ensuring a precise and coherent translation of design intent into built reality.

The result is a process-driven approach where design evolves through dialogue — between place, structure, material, and human experience.

STUDIO BASE

Local Practice

Based in Jávea on the Costa Blanca, Spain, the studio works across locally rooted projects in the northern Costa Blanca region, maintaining a close connection to site, context and landscape. The practice operates through remote collaboration, with selective site visits at key stages where a deeper on-site presence is required.

REMOTE COLLABORATION

International Practice

Alongside local work, the studio operates internationally through remote collaboration, developing residential, hospitality and regenerative projects with clients across Europe and beyond. Site visits are arranged selectively where a deeper on-site presence is required.

SENSORY ARCHITECTURE

Beyond the Visual

Good design is not only visual — it is felt.
It shapes how we move, rest, and connect to our environment.

Our projects are guided by a balance between structure and intuition, integrating natural materials, geometry, and spatial sensitivity to create environments that feel calm, connected, and sensorial — where architecture and nature exist in quiet harmony.

At the core of this approach is what we call artistic biophilia — a design sensibility rooted in the emotional and perceptual relationship between people, space, and nature.
