About The Studio

A boutique architectural design studio creating regenerative environments through a biophilic design approach.

OUR STUDIO

The Intuitive Spaces

Founded in 2017 as an architectural design studio, The Intuitive Spaces has been driven by a desire to create refined environments through a thoughtful, artistic, and sensory approach to design. What began with residential interiors has since evolved into a broader design practice encompassing both interior and exterior environments across residential, hospitality, and nature-led projects, guided by biophilic principles.

Today, the studio provides creative direction, guiding projects from the earliest conceptual stages through to developed design. Collaborating internationally with private residential clients, hospitality developers, investors, and visionary partners, each commission is grounded in a clear design vision. Whether shaping a private residence, a boutique wellness destination, or a nature-led development, every project reflects the same intention: to create environments that support a more conscious way of living.

Alongside its commissioned work, The Intuitive Spaces is developing a long-term vision for regenerative places that reconnect people with nature, themselves, and one another. This vision extends beyond individual projects and continues to shape the studio's future direction.

THE FOUNDER

About Andrea

Andrea Kriskó is a Hungarian architect, spatial designer, and wellbeing specialist working at the intersection of structure, intuition, and artistic expression. Her work combines spatial clarity with emotional and sensory awareness, creating environments that enrich everyday life, awaken the senses, and deepen the experience of place.

Her connection to architecture began early, shaped by a curiosity for geometry, form, and spatial flow that later developed through architectural studies and culminated in an award-winning diploma project in 2012. The Intuitive Spaces was founded in 2017 as an independent design studio, bringing together Andrea's architectural foundation with a continuous exploration of how design can strengthen the relationship between people and nature. Her work has since been featured in architectural and design publications, as well as design exhibitions, while the studio has grown through bespoke residential and hospitality commissions.

Over the years, collaborating with private clients and investors has broadened her perspective, gradually shifting her focus from designing spaces to shaping a more conscious way of living. Since relocating to Jávea on Spain's Costa Blanca in 2024, her work has evolved in dialogue with the Mediterranean landscape, guided by a biophilic design approach.

STUDIO BELIEF

Design Philosophy

We are all born with an instinctive desire to connect with nature. Fresh air, natural light, outdoor views, clean water, and the warmth of fire help us feel safe, grounded, and at ease. The timeless beauty of nature, flowers, and living landscapes naturally draws us in. Yet much of modern life is spent behind screens, surrounded by digital distraction, artificial environments, and long hours of sedentary work, gradually weakening our connection with the natural world.

Our philosophy is rooted in regenerative thinking—the belief that design should seek to restore rather than deplete, giving more than it consumes for both people and place. We see design as a multisensory experience rather than a purely visual discipline, believing the built environment can actively contribute to wellbeing by working in harmony with natural systems rather than against them.

Ultimately, our intention is not only to design beautiful spaces, but to create environments that restore the body, calm the mind, and reconnect people with their essence. Rather than treating nature as decoration, we see it as an essential partner in the design process. Through this holistic perspective, we seek to nurture wellbeing, inspire creativity, and create environments that simply feel right.

WORK METHOD

Design Approach

Every project begins with listening. We seek to understand the people behind the space—their aspirations, lifestyle, and the unique qualities of each place. Through careful observation of the site and its context, supported by research and exploration, we develop a clear creative direction that guides every design decision from the earliest concept onwards.

Our approach is guided by biophilic design—the understanding that people have an innate connection with nature, and that the built environment can positively influence wellbeing. Beyond aesthetics, we consider how atmosphere, spatial flow, natural light, materials, landscape, and sensory qualities shape the way people experience a place. We seek to create healthy, breathable interior and exterior environments that work as one connected experience.

Through conceptual development, thoughtful refinement, and continuous iteration, each project evolves into a coherent and meaningful whole. Where additional expertise is required, we assemble and lead a carefully selected team of trusted specialists—including architects, landscape professionals, artisans, and technical consultants—to ensure the project remains true to the original design vision.

STUDIO BASE

Local Practice

Based in Jávea on Spain's Costa Blanca, the studio works on locally rooted projects throughout the northern Costa Blanca region, maintaining a close connection to site, landscape and context. The design process is supported by remote collaboration, with site visits arranged at key stages of each project where appropriate.

REMOTE COLLABORATION

International Practice

Alongside its local work, the studio collaborates internationally on residential, hospitality and regenerative projects. While most work is developed remotely, travel and on-site involvement are arranged according to each project's scope, location and requirements.

SENSORY ARCHITECTURE

Beyond the Visual

“Good design is not only seen—it is felt. It shapes how we move, rest, and connect with our surroundings.
My work balances structure and intuition, designing environments that engage the senses, awaken creativity and presence, and invite a more conscious way of experiencing everyday life.
At the heart of my approach is what I call Artistic Biophilia—a design sensibility rooted in the emotional and sensory relationship between people, place, and the natural world.”

THE FUTURE

Our Vision

Beyond commissioned projects, The Intuitive Spaces is evolving towards a broader vision: creating regenerative environments that redefine how people live, connect, and experience nature. We believe the future of design extends beyond individual buildings, shaping places that inspire wellbeing, creativity, and a more conscious way of living.
